Welcome to Andover Regional School District!

AndoverRegional is located in the heart of scenic Sussex County, New Jersey. Our school district was originally formed in 1953 as the Andover Consolidated School District. Andover Regional provides its students a highly qualified staff of certified teachers, administrators, and educational services personnel as well as a skilled support staff of secretaries, maintenance, custodians, paraprofessionals, aides, and substitute teachers. Our Board of Education is comprised of nine members representing both Andover Borough and Andover Township.

Students in grades Pre-K, 1, 2, 3, 4 attend the Florence M. Burd School and students in grades 5, 6, 7, 8 attend the Long Pond School. Our eighth grade graduates attend Newton High School through a longtime send/receive relationship with the Newton Public Schools. Eighth grade graduates may also elect to apply to the Sussex County Technical High School as well as multiple non-public options for their high school experience.

Our teachers, staff, administrators, and Board of Education all share the common goal of providing an optimal level of education to all of our students. Together as a school and community we can and will achieve great things for our students.

Communication and community engagement is a major initiative in which our district is engaged. Through our website, social media, email, newsletters, and other methods of communication we will work toward our belief that an informed community is an engaged community. If you have any questions about our school district that may not be answered by one of our many methods of communication, please contact the superintendent's office or one of the schools’ main offices directly.

Thank you for your continued support!

In the Spirit of Partnership,

Matthew L. Beck

Superintendent of Schools
